An image of an upcoming smartphone with Android OS has displayed on the web. The phone looks remarkably like the HTC MyTouch 3G Slide. It is supposed to be called HTC myTouch 3G HD, which could be T-Mobile’s first HSPA+ phone!

From the image, we can see the device has a tablet shape with a large touchscreen. DroidDog reports that it will pack a front-facing web camera as well. we hope the myTouch 3G HD will have a WVGA touchscreens with a high resolution. T-Mobile has promised to release HSPA+ later this year, it means we don’t have to wait too long before the HTC myTouch 3G HD come to stage!

The LG dLite is the third device in T-Mobile list, while the other two are LG Sentio and LG GS 170. It is a solid messaging device for texts, pictures and emails. The LG dLite comes with a 2.8-inch internal display, a built-in 2-megapixel camera with video capabilities, a music player and GPS navigation. This device also supports for T-Mobile’s 3G network, e-mail, and visual voicemail.

T-Mobile gets ready to cover 185 million users with HSPA+ by the end of 2010

It is reported that T-Mobile HSPA+ aims to have 185 million users by the end of this year! At present, HSPA+ is available in nearly 50 markets. There will be 24 more positions with HSPA+ coverage, they are:

Austin, El Paso, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Waco, TX
Baltimore, MD
Baton Rouge and Lafayette, LA
Birmingham, AL
Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, and Dayton OH
Ft. Lauderdale and Jacksonville, FL
Greenville, SC
Honolulu, HI
Indianapolis, IN
Kansas City, MO
Milwaukee, WI
Minneapolis, MN
Portland, OR
St. Louis, MO
Wichita, KS
Expanded coverage in additional cities in previously announced metropolitan areas such as Los Angeles, New York, and Washington, D.C.

In the meanwhile, T-Mobile has increased the size of it’s HSPA+ coverage in metropolitan areas such as Los Angeles, New York and Washington DC. The rumors about the roll out of an updated webConnect rocket USB modem with a compact swivel design have been confirmed also.

However, HSPA+ is still 3G instead of 4G. we hope it go to true 4G with LTE in the future!
